Education to Build a Better Future
Education to Build a
Better Future
Education
played a big role in human intellegence. All of us has a big advantage compared
to other life forms, we humans has the abilities to think. That’s what make us
different. Human has been dominating the earth since a long time ago. But, to
increase our intellegence in order to make this world a better place we need
education.
If we
talk about education the first thought must be school. School played a big role
in development of education. School is where people learn something new,
something they don’t even know. School used to be a great place for students to
develop themselves to grow better in terms of knowledge. In the present day we
need to know that education is not only for knowledge but also moral, which is
really important.
Although
school is really important, not all of us can afford to get formal education
like this. Well to handle this things government around the world already done
a few things to help people to achieve a better education.
Today’s
schools is really different than schools in the past. Technology really
influenced how today’s education is. For example student used to take notes by
pen and notebooks but, today students taking notes by taking picture on their
phone or by typing on their laptop.
Well
eventually technology really is helping us to achieve a better educational
content. But we need to realize that technology is not the only way. Because
technology that is so advanced can lead student to horrible things, such as
cheating by looking on the phone, browsing while taking a test. That’s why
technology has a down side on the development of education.
That
being said we need to be selective on what kind of technology is allowed in
order to increase the quality of humans education in the future. Once again I
reminded that education is a huge things that influence human life which is
really important, in order to sustain humans life in the future.

Millau Viaduct
The Millau Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that
spans the valley of the River Tarn near Millau in
southern France.
Designed by the French structural engineer Michel Virlogeux and British architect Norman Foster, at 300m (984 feet) it is
the highest road bridge in the world, weighing 36,000 tonnes. The central
pillar is higher than the famous French icon, the Eiffel Tower. It
was built in 16 October 2001 and opened to traffic on 16 December 2004.
The bridge took only three years to complete with new
engineering techniques being employed. The traditional method of building a
cable stay bridge involves building sections of the deck (roadway) and using
cranes to put them in position. Because of its height, 900 feet above the
valley floor, a new technique had to be developed.
First, the towers were built in the usual way, with steel
reinforced concrete.
The road way was built on either side of the valley and rolled into position, until it met with precision in the centre. This technique had never been tried before and it carried engineering risks. However, it proved to be an efficient method of deploying the roadway.

The project required about 127,000 cubic meters of
concrete, 19,000 tonnes of steel for the reinforced concrete and 5,000 tonnes
of pre-stressed steel for the cables and shrouds. The cost of
construction was approximately €400 million.
President Jacques Chirac (the president of france). In
his speech he praised the design saying that it was a ‘monument to French
engineering genius’ and ‘a miracle of equilibrium’.

MY HOLIDAY!!!
My Holiday
So, on my holiday last year I did some activities that’s
pretty boring in my opinion. Like staying home for a long time, watching TV for
hours, and other activities that pretty boring. But I enjoyed it. Because I could
do anything without worried about school. So I spent most of the time by
playing video games on my laptop. Of course not an offline games. I played a
lot of video games with my old friends. But it also makes me pretty tired so I took
breaks between. And do other things.
Besides
playing video games, I watched some good movies, streaming on my laptop. And explore
some music too. Sometimes my eyes hurt when I staring at the monitor for so
long. And decided to take a break. Like taking shower, praying, and eating. Sometime
I do make my own food, but it’s not very good. Besides all the thing I do in my
home, I’m sometimes asked by my mother to go bought something. And I should do
that otherwise my mom wouldn’t let me playing games anymore.
On 31st
of December my family and I visited my grandmother’s house in Sumedang.we left
for it at about 10am. And we arrived at 1pm. There, I met my grandmother and my
grandfather. Also my cousins. We decided to bought a lot of fireworks. After that
we waited untill 12am, to start the fireworks. It was a huge fireworks and
explode very bright. That’s how we celebrate the new years. After all that, we
left at 7 in the morning. And arrived to home at about 10 in the morning. After
all. It’s a pretty fun holiday, although we’re not going somewhere far, I enjoyed
it.
